Tisch Hospital is the 726-bed University Hosptial of NYU Langone Medical Center, opened at its present site in 1963.  It serves as focus for a broad spectrum of highly regarded tertiary care programs.  NYU's Tisch Hospital is consistently recognized as one of the leading general hospitals in the New York metropolitan area, and the psychiatry service has been ranked nationally in the top ten.

Bellevue Hospital Center is a 912 bed acute-care general hospital, one of the largest singel municipal hospital buildings in North America.  It is the falgship hospital of New York City's Health and Hospitals Corporation, the nation's larges municapl health care-system.  The origin of Bellevue Hospital can be traced to the colonial era and has a rich history of service to the community.  Its association with NYU dates back over 100 years and the medical staff consists largely of NYU faculty and residents.
